Former Assistant District Attorney and Multi-State Barred, Corpus Christi Criminal Defense Attorney, Scott "Cactus" Lemanski began practicing criminal defense law in Corpus Christi area in 2005. Scott served as an assistant district attorney exclusively in County Court at Law No. 5, handling all aspects of juvenile prosecutions. During his tenure with the district attorney's office, Scott handled certifications, pleas, bench trials, and jury trials, with an attention to hard work and a belief that his work was making a difference in the lives of victims, juveniles and the community. Scott is well educated in the legal requisites regarding guardianship law. All this experience has provided Scott with a firm foundation of the law regarding the proper handling of juvenile matters and a thorough understanding of the issues surrounding such matters.

Following two years of experience as a prosecutor with the Nueces County District Attorney's Office, he returned to private practice. Scott has worked extensively in both adult and juvenile criminal defense, with experience in both felony and misdemeanor jury trials, as well as direct appeals. He is in court almost on a daily basis, and he is, therefore, familiar with courtroom procedure from arraignment through trial. Additionally, Scott has extensive experience representing both children and respondent parents in Child Protective Services cases, from adversary hearing through trial. Cactus has represented clients in both private and CPS adoption cases, and he has served as both Attorney Ad Litem and Court Master in mental commitment hearings.

The legal systems of the United States and the State of Texas are extremely complex. When seeking legal representation, it is very important to choose a well-qualified attorney who is familiar with both law and legal procedure in order to maximize your chances of a favorable result.
